Stop this Cycle of Accidents and Self-Destruction…

My life started to go sharply downhill after I finished high school. My life has not been a bad one, yet I had a few hard years in a row, a few bad relationships, I was unsure of what I wanted with my future, and I was also unhappy with the work I was doing—even though I was good at it.

I had been eating hash since I was 19 and playing around with a little of each drug. Ecstasy, MDMA, and Amphetamine were my favorites, always while I was using hash at the same time.

At first, it did not seem to affect my friends, my family or my work. I did not think anything about my lifestyle other than it was normal, and if some said otherwise I didn’t listen because they did not know better and did not understand. From there, my workplace began to take notice, most of all because it became more difficult for me to perform my duties as my addiction got worse. I became unemployed, but that did not end my desire to be high all the time. After about a year, it began to affect my mind and I lost my friends until I eventually only had my family to talk to. Even with their constant understanding and help and good intentions I did not stop or reduce my abuse, I just kept using.

I wanted to stop this cycle of accidents and self-destruction but was unable to do it alone. I needed help and I ended up going to Narconon Europe, a program recommended to me and my family by a former addict who was a friend of the family, who himself had been through the program successfully and as he himself described it, he gained the power to choose a life without drugs.

As I write this, as a student at Narconon Europe, I have completed the first two steps of the program and will start tomorrow with the remainder of the program. I’ve been here for a little over 6 weeks and feel better than I have in years, I’m looking forward to the Life Skills courses so I can gain the power to choose a life without drugs. To you who read this, if you are like me or know someone like me, send them this letter, and help save them from this trap.

Good luck. Best regards,

A.I.—Narconon Europe Student
