A Life Without Drugs—It’s Better!

When individuals arrive at a Narconon facility for rehabilitation, they arrive with a heavy burden of drug and alcohol toxins stored in their bodies. All the cocaine, marijuana, alcohol and other drugs they have consumed have left residues stored deep in their fatty tissues from which it is hard for the body to eliminate. These residues have been shown to have a profound effect on a person’s thinking and mood. To give each person their best chance at lasting sobriety, the Narconon rehab program includes the New Life Detoxification.

Combining time in a sauna with moderate exercise and a specific regimen of nutritional supplements, each person gradually detoxifies his or her body of these residues. Day by day, the world begins to look brighter. Below, one of the students at Narconon Europe describes how she came from a heavy drug use history and then started to see things in a brighter light after just a few days of this innovative detoxification.

I got started using marijuana with my boyfriend when I was 14 years old. I was using it every evening—it was just my routine. That was the problem, which it was my nightly routine. When I broke up with that boyfriend, I started using cocaine. Before long, when I went to bed after a night using cocaine and alcohol, I added marijuana to the mix because it’s hard to sleep after you’ve used cocaine.

This was my pattern for the next three years—cocaine, alcohol and marijuana. When I was 19, I moved to Florida and stopped using drugs for two years. As soon as I returned to Switzerland, the cocaine and alcohol started again.

My next move was to go to college in Los Angeles. I stopped using drugs for five months, but at a certain point I started using cocaine and I was also using crystal methamphetamine.

At that point, I lost myself. I was so lost that I started using drugs with my brother. I was so addicted that I was trying to convince myself that using drugs was a not such a bad thing to do.

The months from November 2017 until the end of May of 2018 were terrible, like living in hell. I was using cocaine and alcohol again, going without sleep for as long as six days and five nights. I was dying. Then my Dad brought me to Narconon and here I made my own decision to do the Narconon drug rehab program, especially because of the New Life Detoxification.

“Now, after my second day in the sauna, I’m starting to feeling better. My perceptions are even increasing. I feel definitely better. I didn’t remember that I could feel as well as I do now and I’m sure every day will be better…”

Now, after my second day in the sauna, I’m starting to feel better. My perceptions are even increasing. I feel definitely better. I didn’t remember that I could feel as well as I do now and I’m sure every day will be better. Thanks so much for helping me realize that a life without drugs is so much better than a life on drugs!”
