I Was Afraid of Falling Asleep and Never Waking Up Again

Sober man

My addiction to heroin and cocaine was getting worse every day, I had instances of overdose and passing out, and for the last two years, I was afraid of falling asleep and never waking up again. I couldn’t work anymore. I had been to different rehabs—twice at a psychiatric clinic in Greece where I was given drug pills and once at a rehab program in Georgia—but nothing was working.

A friend in Athens recommended Narconon Europe to my sister and when she told me about it, I didn’t give it a second thought—I sold my car and came here. I was a little bit scared at first, but I’ll never regret arriving here as the people and the environment are so different compared to what I knew from the past.

I first did the withdrawal step and the staff member who worked with me was so helpful. The student I was partnered up with—my “twin”—was a cool, smart guy and I felt very safe doing the program with him. The first night, I had problems sleeping. I was tossing around. I was sure I felt spiders in my body and I kept thinking of drugs. During the day, however, the locational processes started to help a lot.

The “Sauna” was a little bit hard at first. I was smelling heroin and I had restimulating periods of when I had used LSD, but the staff members were there for me.

After I reached 3,500 niacin, I started feeling better and better and my mood, energy, and sleep were all improving. Then when I reached 5,000, I felt like a 20-year-old!

“I started to feel big changes occurring and I had some big realizations about life. I also felt myself getting back into present time more easily and now, as a result, I have more control of myself and the people around me.”

On the “Objectives” (procedures that help a person get his attention out of the past and into the present) my twin helped me through any and all reactions. I started to feel big changes occurring and I had some big realizations about life. I also felt myself getting back into present time more easily and now, as a result, I have more control of myself and the people around me.

The “Overcoming Ups & Downs in Life” course gave me the ability to spot who in my environment are social personalities and those who are antisocial (and should be avoided).

The ”Personal Values” course helped me face up to my past negative actions and the “Changing Conditions in Life” course gave me the opportunity to make up the damage I had done in the past.
