Ben’s recent accomplishment showcases his commitment and perseverance. To mark his one-year anniversary of sobriety, he decided to take on the challenge of the Paris Marathon. As a first-time participant, he astounded everyone by completing the race in just 3 hours, 42 minutes, and 40 seconds—a truly impressive feat.

Ben’s incredible journey began with his decision to become drug-free at Narconon Europe. There, he spent 30 days in the sauna on the New Life Detoxification, cleansing both his body and mind. As he navigated through the program, he acquired essential skills to help him focus, communicate effectively, and stay composed under pressure. Ben’s newfound patience, responsibility, and discipline have been instrumental in his personal and professional success.

Like many others, Ben grappled with anxiety, but the tools he gained through Narconon have been invaluable in helping him cope. He learned to manage his emotions naturally, without the need for drugs. By confronting his past and addressing the root causes of his problems, Ben found the strength to embrace a new, substance-free life.

Throughout his time at Narconon Europe, Ben realized the significance of surrounding himself with positive people and cultivating healthy relationships. He has grown more self-aware, enabling him to make wiser choices about whom he allows into his life.

His story serves as a shining example of the transformative power of the Narconon program and provides hope to others who face similar challenges.

As Ben looks to the future, he is excited to pursue new opportunities and continue working on his personal development. His accomplishments stand as a testament to the fact that with determination, discipline, and a robust support system, nothing is impossible.

Congratulations, Ben! We are thrilled to see the person you’ve become and can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next.

And now, I present to you Ben's own words following his incredible achievement in the Paris marathon.

“It was a really special and emotional day for me, had a lot to reflect on for the 3h42 that I was running for, the great work that key4life are tirelessly doing, ( the charity I ran for ) remembering my dear friend Jack and appreciating my new beginnings and family and friends. Thinking of those things motivated me all the way, especially during the painful last few Kilometers when my body was giving up, my mind stayed strong.

This mental strength was something I worked hard on at Narconon and have continued to do so since leaving.

“Anything is possible if you really want it and set your mind to it, and I think I’ve proven that and will continue to do so.”

On Thursday it will be exactly 1 year since I arrived at Narconon and I’m so pleased with my progress. I would have never thought I would be running a marathon 8 months after leaving. Anything is possible if you really want it and set your mind to it, and I think I’ve proven that and will continue to do so.

It wasn’t an easy journey and some days are still hard, but it’s all about being consistent, doing positive things to help yourself when you aren’t feeling 100% and helping others, eating well. There are always positive solutions, turning to substances is never the right thing to do. I feel more motivated than ever and I’m eager to continue seeing how far I can take my new motivation for life and working hard. I’m so happy with my progress and so grateful to Narconon for their help giving me the tools to succeed.”
