I Have Inner Peace

As a person progresses through the Narconon drug rehab program, he completes a step called Objectives. This step is composed of a series of exercises that gradually help a person recover their perceptions of their real-world environments, not the dim and dull world experienced during addiction. Little by little, each person begins to live in the present, not the past, and gain greater control of themselves and even their thoughts. Keep reading to hear what one student who was approaching the end of this step had to say.

Happy sober man

“It gives me a huge satisfaction to stay in the present and not overthink the past, I realized I got grey hair from overthinking. It feels so good not to live in pain anymore. Before, when I was using drugs, I suffered both physical and mental pain every day. Now, my body is out of physical pain. It is amazing how strong my body and mind is. If I look in the mirror, I see a beautiful smile on my face and that’s amazing. I am so happy that I am a healthy man.

“My mind and self-confidence are improving every day and that gives me a great feeling. I am very pleased with my progress and I feel I keep on growing.

“Nobody is perfect but I am very happy with the person I am now…”

“Nobody is perfect but I am very happy with the person I am now. I can listen, I can feel, I can breathe, I have inner peace and I am a caring person with a good heart. I love myself more than ever before.”
