I Feel Stronger and More Confident in Myself

An essential part of maintaining your sobriety after rehab is knowing which friends and associates will support your sobriety and which ones won’t. After all, how many times have you heard a family say that their child began using drugs when they “fell in with the wrong crowd”? Knowing which friends to choose and how to deal with a person who might not have one’s best interests at heart are vital skills for a Narconon graduate. This graduate talks about their success from the life skills course Overcoming Ups & Downs in Life.

“The course Overcoming Ups & Downs In Life was very interesting and full of useful information. I learned a lot about personalities, how to identify a person’s characteristics and how to evaluate their real motivations.

I learned that to really analyze a person, you have to carefully examine whatever good and bad characteristics he possesses. One isolated action doesn’t make a person good or bad. I’ve also learned how to deal with different personalities by using communication more effectively.

“All of the things I learned on this course will help me protect myself from people who want to do me harm. I now know how to spot that kind of person and I also learned how to handle them. This course has prepared me for challenging situations I might run into in the future.

“One of the most important things that I’ve learned is how to identify good people so I can befriend and help them.”

“One of the most important things that I’ve learned is how to identify good people so I can befriend and help them. After all, these are the people I want to surround myself with. Being able to recognize them will help me become a better person. That way, I can contribute more to the improvement of my family and society. It is very clear to me now. I am very happy that I studied this course and I feel stronger and more confident in myself.”
