Cocaine Use In Europe Escalating, Cocaine Use In Europe Killing!

Addict

It is not a secret that drugs are a major issue in Europe. It is not the only drug heavily used in Europe, but Cocaine is the most popular. Here are the hard hitting facts:

  • According to the latest reports Cocaine is the most commonly used illicit stimulant drug and over the past 10 years, has become the most commonly used illicit stimulant drug in Europe.
  • Over 15 million Europeans have used cocaine at least once in their life with approximately 4 million Europeans estimated to have used cocaine in the last year with Ireland, Spain, Italy and the UK all reporting higher levels above the European average. In those countries, last year data showed cocaine to be the most commonly used illicit stimulant drug.
  • Scotland has the highest rate of users, with 1 in every 40 people using Cocaine
  • The price of Cocaine in Europe has dropped by 51% since 1990 making it much more accessible
  • 92% of baby change tables in the UK carried traces of Cocaine.
  • There are dozens of facilities in the Netherlands that you can bring cocaine and get it tested to see if it is “safe.”
  • The three European countries with the highest volume of drug online sales are Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, with cocaine being one of the top ones accounting for most of the sales revenue.
  • It is estimated that more than 70,000 lives were lost to drug overdoses in European Union countries in the first decade of the 21st Century.
Dead bird

There are headlines that read:

“Drug deaths: Cocaine contributes to record number”

“The number of drug poisoning deaths reached record levels in England and Wales last year, official data shows”

And an article that states that deaths involving cocaine rose by 16% to 371, while overall there were 3,744 deaths from legal and illegal drugs. The Office for National Statistics said it was the highest number of deaths since they started recording figures in 1993.

The report showed that those in their 40s have overtaken people in their 30s as being the age group with the highest mortality rate from drug misuse and that the purity of cocaine could be one explanation for the increase per data from statisticians.

Additionally, a National Crime Agency reports that there was a significant increase in both crack and powder cocaine purity at all levels in 2016, including user-level, which may partly explain the increase in deaths relating to cocaine.

A managing director of the Centre for Social Justice, stated the following:

“That sad reality is, unless people can afford their own treatment it is very difficult to get effective treatment and people become stuck in their addictions, which is leading to terrible consequences.”

In England, the North East had the highest death rate from drug misuse in 2016 for the fourth year running (77.4 deaths per million.)

The mortality rate from drug misuse in Wales rose from 58.3 deaths per million population in 2015 to 66.9 in 2016 and these figures continue to increase in 2017.

So the message is simple: COCAINE = DEATH

Europe is so hard hit by the Cocaine epidemic, people need to get help. The solution, of course, isn’t to start in the first place, but if one does, find a good drug rehab center that uses natural methods, not more drugs. We cannot continue to let Europe go downhill at the hands of this evil, murderous powder if you know someone in trouble—help them!
