The Story of My Life

Beginning in 1980, I began consuming bad stuff—I was addicted to heroin and always up for a good trip, including LSD.

In 1984, my parents offered me a detox treatment at the Niort Hospital, but after 3 months of taking withdrawal medications, I became addicted to them.

So I went back to the street to take illegal drugs again.

Two years later, Narconon was introduced to me by a former evening companion who had just finished this program. I agreed to come to Narconon without much faith that it would work or provide any relief and stayed there for 3 months.

I did the withdrawal step that lasted less than a week (without violence, but with support 24 hours a day, a good diet and a lot of sleep), then onto the next stages of the program that gave me the certainty that my drug addiction was becoming a thing of the past.

Before Narconon, I was desperately looking for any opportunity to make money so I could buy my next dose—having no morality regarding the consequences of my actions.

I had no respect for my family or friends, and I had never worked at a normal job. My only daily goal was my next dose and to find my dealer. I found that I had become very unstable.

I could have ended up in prison or at the morgue, but Narconon made me want to live again.

Today

Since 1986, I have a stable job and I have been loving my life. I am married and have 2 children. I often discuss with them my past and the consequences of drugs so that they don’t make the same mistakes I did.

It is true that Narconon does not follow the psychiatric tradition and offers no substitute drug treatments or psychoanalysis sessions.

It is also true that Narconon is recognized in many countries for the positive and long-standing results obtained.

It’s also true that without Narconon I would not be here—31 years without drugs!!!
