Can One Die from Marijuana?

Cannabis Smuggling In Denmark

A few days ago, 12 people were arrested and responsible for smuggling cannabis into Denmark. According to the Ritzau Agency, the police seized over 1,100 Kilograms of cannabis for a value of approximately 7.4 million Euros.

Marijuana

Considered as “a light drug,” cannabis, when it’s compared to other drugs, discounted as a deadly drug because “you can’t die” of cannabis overdose.

When the deaths for drugs are statistically calculated, only a few cases in which cannabis created fatal casualties are taken into account: some cases with heart troubles or in some cases where psychotic reactions produced by cannabis resulted in the death of the individuals.

But when the spectrum of observation is expanded, one finds out that Marijuana often is the gateway for other drugs such as meth, heroin, cocaine etc. While we can’t say that the Marijuana consumer always ends up on other drugs, we know with certainty that cannabis makes the transition easier.

But there is another factor. A person under the effect of THC is not fully aware of his present environment, his reflexes are slower and his reaction time is slower.

Joint

How many of the fatal incidents in the workplace, on the road, and in life are caused by cannabis, then?

And let’s be honest, if one would knew that the pilot had smoked a joint, would that person really take that flight?

And if cannabis is actually only a “light drug” then why would Narconon Europe be receiving so many calls from desperate people who ask for help because their life is ruined by an addiction to cannabis which is destroying their family relationships and their professional life?

According to the statistics of EMCDDA 87.7 million European citizens have used cannabis.

The problem here is not if this drug should or should not be legalized. The problem is how many people really know what effects cannabis can cause in their life?
